Career Treks

Career Treks offer students valuable opportunities to learn about companies, industries and careers in a personal setting. Students travel to key locations across the country to engage with industry professionals, expand their networks, and increase their awareness of career possibilities.

Over fall break, you are invited to join us as we head to Atlanta to discover the performing arts! We will be visiting several performing arts organizations as well as networking with area alums! If you have any interest in the performing arts we encourage you to apply for this Trek. The cost for the trek is $200 which includes travel, hotel, a ticket to The Sleepy Hollow Experience at Serenbe Playhouse and 3 meals.

Washington D.C. is THE city to be in for a career in government or politics. Why not go there to see the city first hand, meet with organizations in the industry, and gather with WFU alumni who live and work in the area. Over fall break, we are inviting you to go on our DC Trek from October 12-14. On the trek we will visit multiple think tanks, the Library of Congress, attend the WakeWashington Launch, have breakfast and attend 2 panels with alumni, and more! You can apply to go on Handshake. Applications are due September 12 and travel stipends are available for qualified students.
