Deloitte Battle of the Beltway is Back!

Overview

Sophomore and Junior students from all majors have the opportunity to participate in a real world Federal government business case competition.  Teams will compete in the preliminary round at Wake Forest.  The top team will advance to the final round in Washington, DC and compete against other regional universities.

  • Monday, October 8th–Deadline for teams to register (however, it’s 1st come, 1st registered…until we reach 9 teams!)

  • Monday, October 8th–Structuring Your Case Workshop (for registered competition participants only)–Kirby G001–4:45-6:00pm
  • Monday, October 15–Presentation Skills Workshop (for registered competition participants only)–OPCD Innovation Station (Reynolda 230)–4:00-5:30 pm
  • Friday, October 26–Presentation Previews (competitors sign up for 30 min slot to present/receive feedback)–Kirby Hall 1st floor– 1:30-5:45pm
  • Monday, October 29–Preliminary Round–Kirby Hall 1st floor–6-9pm (Top 2 teams will advance to finals against other universities in DC on Nov. 12-13)

How To Participate

  • Student teams must be finalized by noon on October 8, 2012
  • Student teams must consist of four sophomores or juniors (a mix of both class years is recommended) and students can be from any major
  • Only the first 9 teams that register get a spot – so get your team together early!
