Here are some of the successful strategies most commonly used by organizations on our campus. If you are interested in any of these opportunities or would like to make any other on-campus accommodations please contact Dana Hutchens by email or phone at 336.758.5246.
Job Postings and Resume Referrals
If you are not able to conduct on-campus interviews we still strongly encourage you to post your job and internship opportunities through out Handshake system. Through Handshake we are able to share your opportunities with the appropriate candidates, either current students or Wake Forest alumni.
Presentations and Information Sessions
Hosting a presentation or information session before your organization’s resume deadline or interview date is a great way to generate student involvement. Through these sessions you can present information about your organization and explain what you’re looking for in applicants.
The Office of Career Services welcomes you to join us for our Job & Internship Fairs in September and January. Representatives from business, government and nonprofit agencies attend annually to distribute information and introduce students to the career options available to them in the current job market.
Throughout the year we host a variety of Career Development Programs featuring guest speakers from various fields. If you would be willing to share your expertise with students we would be more than happy to welcome you on campus.
Meetings with Faculty and Career Services Staff
Many new companies on campus are interested in meeting with our faculty members and Career Services staff to learn more information about the Wake Forest curriculum and how best to promote their organization to specific majors. These meetings also educate members of the campus community on your organization and opportunities.
Corporate Sponsorship of Programs and Events
Each year organizations advertise at our events by becoming corporate sponsors. Your organization’s name will be included in event advertising and you will have the option to have representatives present at the event.
Each fall, we invite business and industry representatives to our campus to conduct practice interviews with students. Mock interviews are a great way to further develop your brand on campus.
