Recruiting Our Students

Handshake
Handshake is your #1 way to interact with Wake Forest students. By logging on to this site you can create or update you organization’s profile and post job and internship opportunities for Wake Forest students. If you elect not to use our Handshake system we are still able to manage your recruiting process at Wake Forest.  If you’re interested in Handshake register now! If you have additional questions about Handshake or any of the other opportunities listed below please contact Lisa Simmons by email or by phone at 336.758.4485 for more information.

Information Sessions
Holding an information session is a great way to generate enthusiasm about your organization while also providing valuable information to the student body. Feel free to contact our office with potential dates and we’d be more than happy to ensure there are no calendar conflicts with other University events.

On-Campus Interviewing
Schedule on-campus interviews at Wake Forest! While we are happy to accommodate the recruiting needs of your organization, our on-campus fall interviews begin in October and run through the end of November and spring semester dates begin in February and continue through April. You may request your schedule via our Handshake system at http://employers.opcd.wfu.edu/on-campus-recruiting.

Schedules
We are happy to accommodate your interviewing needs in our private Recruiting Suite. Unless otherwise requested, interviews are scheduled at thirty minute intervals, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m with a 15-minute morning break, a one-hour lunch break, and a 15-minute afternoon break. For your reference, this scheduling allows for thirteen 30 minute interviews or nine 45 minute interviews

Interview Sign-up Systems
We have two Interview Sign-Up systems to help you select the most qualified students for your positions. You may choose to Prescreen your interview sign-ups by posting a job description in our Handshake system. After the posting deadline we will send the submitted materials for your review so that you may select interview candidates and alternates. You may also choose to use an Open Sign-Up to select interview candidates. In this system any student who meets your job or internship specifications may sign up for an interview on a first-come, first-served basis. Resumes will be available to your organization at least one day prior to your interviews as no pre-screening of the resumes is available.

Job postings

Are you interested in hiring a Wake Forest student, but unable to visit campus for interviews?  Use Handshake to post job opportunities for students.  Each posting can be customized to target the type of student you are trying to reach and if a large number of candidates respond, you can call to schedule an on-campus interview.  For more information, please contact Lisa Simmons at 336.758.4485 or simmonll@nullwfu.edu.
